Holly Hunter is an American producer and actress who has been recognized for her highly laudable performance in films like Broadcast News The Firm The Piano and The Incredibles. Holly Hunter was awarded numerous prizes and awards, among them her first Oscar for her film Piano. Actresses have a long career of involvement in Broadway off-Broadway, Broadway and various initiatives. Since her childhood she's always been enthusiastic in the field of acting. She portrayed Helen Keller as a fifth-grade student in a school production. The actress was deaf in one ear after suffering from Mumps, but she didn't let this disability dampen the determination of her to become an actress. When she was a teenager, she studied drama in college and moved to New York City from Pittsburgh so that she could follow her dreams. She met Beth Henley in an elevator and the pair collaborated on Broadway Crimes of the Heart the first movie Hunter made. As she relocated into Los Angeles, Hunter tried to get movie roles. The role of a supporting actress was secured in Swing Shift. Over the past three decades she's appeared in numerous TV shows and films. Holly Hunter received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and was also awarded an award called the Women in Film Lucy Award.
